Reigning in life by one Jesus Christ
Empowered to reign in life over my enemy, Satan the devil with the Word of God: Rom:5-17
Empowered: Give someone the authority or power to do something
Reign: To rule and reign as a King
- 1, Who you are in Chris
- 2, What you have in Christ
- 3, What you can do in Christ
- 4, See ourselves as God sees us in Christ
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
2Corth:10,4-5
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; (by putting on the whole armour of God.)
5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Gen:8-22 While the earth remaineth, seed time and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
How was a man to rule the earth and all things in it, he was to do like God, decree a thing and it shall be established. Job:22-28 read it
After Adam listen to his wife and ate the fruit of Satan's lies (Hosea:10-13) the spirit God put in man to communicate with him was disconnected, and man fell from God's grace.
Gen:3-21 God covered their sin with coats of skins, this is all an animal sacrifice could do. v- 21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.
God covered their nakedness or sin with coats of skins which was a shadow of the animal sacrifice which would be added later because of sin, God did it first.
Rom:8,5-8
6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. (In Jesus with a renewed mind) Rom:12,1-2
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. Because you are in bondage to a death sentence you cannot pay because of sin.
To the wicked and those that are hostile toward God, here is your reword!!!
Deut:7,9-11
Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;
10 And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hates him, he will repay him to his face.
11 Thou shalt therefore keep the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which I command thee this day, to do them.
Deut 7-9
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
Jesus said Jn:17,14-17
14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
Acts,2-38
17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the Church,
23 Which is His Body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
Ephe; 3-20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us: what power is working in you
God answered Jesus prayer when he raised him from the dead by the Glory of the Father, The Father glorified Jesus with his own self, God never says no to Jesus. At the cross, his purpose to die was fulfilled, and the promise of God to raise him from the dead God did also. Rom:6-4
1Cor: 10-13 There is no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
Gal: 2, 19-20; in v-19: He is saying that through the law, the Ten Commandments, he is dead to the law of sin and death and now he can live his life unto God, looking to be raised in the first resurrection, enjoying the pleasure of being God on The Sabbath Day- Gods-sabbath-day-of-rest. The Thousand-Year Millennium.
V-20 I am crucified with Christ nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ live in me, now I can live the law through Christ who liveth in me, and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me. With Jesus' faith we can overcome anything. How? By believing his word
True Christians know Christ took upon himself the death sentence we could not pay and gave us life, the abundant life to all that receive him and endure to the end, eternal salvation is yours and you will become God.
Is: 53-1, who hath believed our report and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed.
When the church began to believe the report of the Lord and not the devil it will change their lives forever
It takes knowledge to win in life. Hos: 4-6 my people are destroyed for the lack of knowledge.
We have to resist the devil, with the word of God, if you don't there are consequences you will bear. This includes sin, sickness, disease, depression, fear, oppression and so on. In Christ, we have the authority to reign over the wiles of the devil as we put on the whole armor of God. Eph:6,10-18
Col:2-15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
We know it’s the carnal mind that instructs the flesh to do the things that are against God. However, we are no longer in bondage to the flesh to obey it. Rom:8,1-2
Rom;8-15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba Father
Until we are born-again there will be a battle in the mind, the flesh against the Spirit for the authority to direct your going and coming. Know this, you are guided by your mind, whether by God unto righteousness or of the devil unto death. Rom:6-16
Gal: 5, 16-17;
v-16 walk in the Spirit and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
v-17 for the flesh lusteth against the Spirit and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other; so that ye cannot do the things that you would.
Rom: 7, 24-25;
v- 24 oh wretched man that I am who can deliver me from the body of this death.
Whatever condition you find yourself in and it's beyond your ability to fix it turn to the Lord with prayer., if you are in sin repent (Acts :2-38), if you are in covenant with the Lord call unto him for he hear the prayers of the righteous. 1Pet:3-12 the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous
Jn:9-31, God heareth not sinners
Is:59,1-2 your sins separate you from God
Prov:28-9 if you turn your ear from hearing the law.......
Prov:15-8 the sacrifice of the wicked is a abomination
Ps:103,17-19
But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;
18 To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.
19 The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.
Speak The Word only;
Prov; 4-20, 23:
v-20 my son attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings:
v-21 let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart
v-22 for they are life to those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Here God just gave the nation their health plan if the nation will believe and receive it.
v-23 keep thy heart with all diligence for out of it are the issues of life.
Jer: 17-9 God tells us a few things about mans heart; that it’s deceitful and desperately wicked so he warns us to keep it, how? By living and abiding in the word of God. 1Cor: 9-27
Heb: 1-3 God upholds all things by the word of his power and this is sure, if God says anything to man you can find it in his word. If you can’t find what God said in the bible which represents the word of God, he didn’t say it. The bible is the reference he gave us to go by.
2Pet: 1, 20-21:
v-20 knowing this first that no prophecy of scripture is of any private interpretation.
Jer: 17-5 Thus saith the Lord; cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord.
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing
Heb:5-8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
Rev:3,21-22
20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
Here are some of the tools the Lord gave us to defeat our enemy.
Ephe:6,10-19
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
27 And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us.28 And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him:
In Mk: 11, 12-21 Jesus and his disciples were coming from Bethany and were hungry. Jesus saw a fig tree from afar and they went to it in hope there might be some figs on the tree. But when he came to it there was nothing but leaves, for the time of the figs were not yet.
v-14 here is the example of Jesus speaking the word releasing his faith. Notice what he did.
v-20 The fig tree said to Jesus, I am not ready yet; it is not time for figs. Here how Jesus responded to the tree, and Jesus answered and said to it no man eat fruit of thee here after forever. And his disciples heard it
v-21 the next morning when they passed by the fig tree, they saw it dried up by the roots. Peter speaking up said Master the fig tree which you cursed is dried up from the roots.
If we go over what Jesus did we plainly see he released his faith by saying words. He said to the fig tree what he wanted to see happen to the tree. The following day they saw the fig tree had withered and died. His words penetrated that tree, went to it's roots and took it out. Every believer has the authority to do exactly what Jesus did.
Lk: 4,5-7 The devil challenged Jesus after he came off a 40 day fast
v-5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
v-6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.
v-7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. Look what Jesus said
v-8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. He simply spoke the word
Another example: Matt: 8, 5-10
v-5 Jesus came to Ca-per-na-um and meet a centurion there.
v-6 the Centurion told Jesus his servant was sick of the palsy.
V-7 Jesus I will come and heal him
V-8 the Centurion said I am not worthy that you should come under my roof, but speak the word only and my servant shall be healed
V-9 he understood authority, he said for I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
v-10 When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
So according to Jesus, when you are faced with fear, circumstances, problems, sickness, disease or any such thing, if you understand the authority you have in Christ, under his authority: you will speak the word and if you don’t doubt in your heart, you can have what you say.
Mk:11-23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Is: 55, 10-11; This is what the word will do
v-10 for as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater
v-11 so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. This is the authority every believer has in Christ Jesus.
Now we must take heed to the warning by David in the proverbs when he said:
Prov: 18-21; 1 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. We will be held accountable for every word we speak.
Prov: 6-2; Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth; thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.
Now that we know that our words can help us and harm us, we need to be watchful of what we say.
Ja:1-19; Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath
Now let’s do this, in Gal: 5-1, stand fast in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Ps: 37-5 commit thy ways unto the Lord trust also in him ….
If you have not received Jesus as Lord of your life now is a good time to do it:
Go to Acts: 2-38, > >>> Matt: 11, 28-30, >>>> Hosea: 14, 1-2
Be Blessed
